.CO.IL and .ORG.IL are the official country code 3rd level Domains (ccTLD) of Israel.

The State of Israel, commonly known as Israel, is a democratic republic in the Middle East that lies at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. The country borders Lebanon to the north, Syria to the northeast, Jordan and the West Bank to the east, Egypt and the Gaza Strip to the southwest.

.CO.IL and .ORG.IL are the official country code 3rd level Domains (ccTLD) of Israel.

A CO.IL/ORG.IL domain can be used by anyone.

## Domain Restrictions

The owner (registrant) and admincontact of a .co.il domain name should be a legal entity‎ (could be a person, or a company or an association):



In case of a person, full name should be supplied (no abbreviations like J. Doe).‎



In case of a ‎company the relevant suffix such as "Ltd" (or "Inc". "GMBH" etc.) should be ‎specified.



In case of a ‎registered association the suffix "RA" should be specified.



ISOC has added a new holder validation procedure(2022/02). They randomly select new domain registrations in order to validate registrant details. Both, the reseller and the holder will receive an email with the request to provide evidence of registrant details accuracies such as passport/ID/driver license copy, email validation, etc. 21 days time frame will be provided to complete the validation. After 21 days period, the domain will be deleted by the registry. No refund option will be applied.



If the registrant is a company or an association, they are asking for a company certificate.



If the registrant is a natural person, they are asking for a photo ID
